This one was over early as the Seals chased Dubnyk with four goals in the first 12 minutes. Lundqvist stopped 32 shots in blanking the Puck. Six different Seals: Datsyuk, Samuelsson, Burrows, Holmstrom, Ehrhoff, and Doan found the net, while Thornton, Doan, Samuelsson and Regehr each recorded two assists.
at CHA 3, London 1
Goals by Callahan and Malkin, both set-up by Kopitar, put the Cougars ahead 2-0 midway through the game. A Visnovsky rocket from the point cut the lead in half, and Bryzgalov's spectacular 40-save effort kept the Fog in the game, but a Richards empty netter sealed the deal.
at PU 3, Whitehorse 2
Backstrom's second goal of the game, scored on a short-handed breakaway, broke a 2-2 deadlock, sending the Unknowns to their second straight victory. Grabner and Brouwer tallied for the Stallions, while Ruutu scored the other PU goal. Rinne stopped 27 of 29 shots for the victory while Thomas made 40 saves in the loss.
