El Paso 6, at Newfoundland 3
Berglund scored twice, and Sharp, Kessel, Marleau and Nielsen each tallied a goal and an assist as the Puck rolled over the Seals. Thornton, Doan and Ehrhoff scored for Newfoundland. El Paso scored four power play goals on eight opportunities, while the Seals converted on both of their power play chances.

At Manitoba 4, Southampton 3

Whitehorse 4, at CHA 1
Thomas made 27 saves, and goals by third period goals by Marchand, Stastny and Carter broke open what was a 1-1 game. Grabner scored the other Stallion goal and Kane added three assists. Malkin’s 1st period power play marker was the only shot that eluded Thomas.

At London 4, Ottawa 3 OT
Following a familiar script, the Tuque got out to a 3-1 lead behind two goals from Hossa and Toews’s eighth goal of the season, which came only 20 seconds into the game. The Fog roared back on a second period power play marker from Erat and a third period Lidstrom point drive to send the game to overtime. With 17 seconds remaining in the extra session, Nash beat Vokoun, who had taken over for an injured Luongo, for the game winner. Reimer made 39 saves to earn the victory.
