At Manitoba 4, Newfoundland 3 OT
Jason Pominville scored with only 13 seconds remaining in overtime to win the game for Manitoba. After Bergeron opened the scoring, markers by Daniel Sedin, Skinner and Daley put the Mudders out front after two periods. Third period tallies by Morrow and Recchi, 1:13 apart, sent the game to overtime. Datsyuk and Meszaros both left the game with injuries for the floundering Seals.
London 6, at Southampton 2
Laich, Knuble, Lidstrom and Seidenberg each recorded a goal and an assist as the Fog rode a five-goal second period to an easy win over the High Flyers. Seidenberg, Vanek, Laich, Lidstrom and Kennedy scored consecutive goals in the second to erase a 2-1 deficit and lead the Fog to victory. Tyutin and Backes scored for Southampton.
