Luongo made 38 saves, and the Tuques got goals from Gagne and Steen to earn a point. Laich opened the scoring for the Fog, and Nash sent the game to overtime, scoring a goal with 5:20 remaining in the third period. Bryzgalov turned aside 29 shots in being named the games #1 star.
PU 4, at Newfoundland 4
Selanne recorded three assists, including one on Doan’s third-period, game-tying power play goal, as the Seals earned a tie in a wild affair. Stewart scored early to put PU in front, but the Seals answered with goals by Handzus, Anisimov and Bergeron. The Pendulum then swung the other way as Giroux, Ovechkin and Stoll scored for PU. Doan’s seventh of the year tied the game in the third. Rinne made 43 saves, while Lundqvist stopped 35 shots for the Seals.
El Paso 4, at CHA 3 OT
Pavelski scored his fifth goal of the year in overtime to win the game for El Paso. First period goals by Nielsen and Sharp put the Puck ahead before second period tallies by Brown, Kulemin and Richards seized the lead for the Cougar. Martinek scored late in the second to tie the game, and the third was scoreless, despite a 15-7 edge in shots on goal for the Puck.
