At Southampton 5, Ottawa 1
Hiller made 29 saves, while Crosby scored twice and added an assist to provide all of the offense needed, as the High Flyers destroyed the Tuques. After a scoreless first, Jovanovski and Crosby scored in the second. A three goal outburst by Crosby, Heatley and Moulson iced the match. Hossa’s short-handed marker, with less than four minutes remaining, spoiled Hiller’s bid for the shutout.
